oPEN POSITIONS: 

General Responsibilities:

-       To follow supervisors instructions for Menu plans and daily preparation.

-       To take active part in the actual food preparation.

-       To ensure that products are consistently prepared according to the highest possible standards.

-       To comply with the latest Health and Sanitation regulations (USPH and all other Port Health Authorities) at all times.

-       To know the requirements of the Menus and to plan ahead for operational needs accordingly.

-       To report work orders to the Sous Chef when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required.

-       To complete a Work Registration Form correctly every week and to submit it to the Sous Chef in a timely manner.

-       Monitor and check stock in the stores ad inform supervisor.

Education/Position Requirements:

-       Culinary Institute Diploma or Chef Certification or other relevant apprenticeship required.

-       Minimum of three (3) years expereience in a hotel or restaurant, or three (3) years’ onboard a cruise ship in similar position required.

-       A sound knowledge of culinary arts and fine dining is required.

-       Very good spoken English.

-       Good communication skills.

-       Good organizational skills and must show attention to detail.

-       Must undergo onboard USPH and HACCP training. Knowledge in this area is a plus.

General Responsibilities:

-       To clean Galleys and food outlets (including dishwashing and sanitation of china, glassware and silver) according to schedule and instruction from the #1 Utility.

-       To follow the Shipboard Sanitation and Health Program in regard to cleaning and to ensure that all that all pertinent SMS, Health and Sanitation regulations (USPH and all other Port Health Authorities) are being upheld in his area of responsibility at all times.

-       To ensure that all Electrical and Mechanical Galley Equipment is cleaned according to the Manufacturers Manuals to avoid damage and personal injury.

-       To follow proper garbage disposal and separation procedures (including colour coding as per Company Environmental policy).

-       To follow proper procedures to storing, using and disposing of Chemicals and to ensure that the necessary safety precautions are taken as per the Company Environmental policy.

-       To ensure smooth operation during meal hours for china, glassware and silverware.

-       To keep assigned lockers clean and tidy at all times and in accordance to safety rules and regulations.

-       To ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty.

-       To follow and execute the Shipboard Sanitation Program, and to complete and update all Sanitation Log sheets.

-       To do additional duties in other departments (gangway duties, storing, luggage handling, etc.) as necessary.

-       To report work orders to the #1 Utility when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.

Education/Position Requirements:

-       College degree beneficial, preferably a Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate or other related course(s).

General Responsibilities:

-       To manage the daily operation of the Dining Room.

-       Overview of the Bar operation

-       To create a safe working environment and to ensure that all Dining Room and Bar staff comply with the latest Health and Sanitation regulations (USPH, HACCP and all other Port Health Authorities) at all times.

-       To ensure the best possible dining experience for all Guests and to provide special attention to Guests with special needs.

-       To train, coach, council, support and delegate the Dining Room and Bar staff.

-       To guide the Dining Room and Bar staff and to ensure that everyone is updated with relevant shipboard information at all times.

-       To monitor and develop the Work schedules, Section Plans and Vacation schedules and to conduct Performance Appraisals for the Dining Room and Bar staff.

-       To ensure that any Maintenance issues in the Dining Room and Bars are reported in a timely manner and that the work orders are followed up accordingly.

-       To order, receive and monitor all cutlery, crockery and glassware for the Dining Room and the Bars through the Provision Department.

-       To ensure a smooth and efficient service during meal hours through constant communication with the Galley.

-       To execute all aspects of planning and organizing of upcoming cruises for the Dining Room and Bars.

-       To ensure that all Dining Room and Bar staff follow uniform guidelines and personal hygiene procedures according Company standards.

-       To ensure that all Dining Room and Bar Staff Work Registration Forms are completed correctly and handed in to the Chief Purser in a timely manner.

-       To ensure that Dining Room and Bar Staff Overtime is submitted to the Hotel Manager and Chief Purser in a timely manner.

-       To adhere to, and to ensure that the Dining Room and Bar Staff adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.

-       Other responsibilities, as assigned by his direct supervisor, but not limited to the above.


Education/Position Requirements:

-       College Degree/Diploma or Hotel Management School or Successful completion of an Apprenticeship in the Food Service industry required.

-       Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in hotel or two (2) years’ onboard a cruise ship in a similar position.

-       Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

-       Advanced German skills are required for this position, any additional foreign language would be a plus.

-       Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.

-       Must have very good administrative skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office). MXP knowledge would be a plus.

-       To follow work schedules, section plans and rotations and to do any additional duties (gangway duties, storing, midnight snack etc.) as scheduled by the Head Waiter and as required.

-       To complete a Work Registration Form correctly every week and to submit it to Chief Bartender in a timely manner.

-       To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.

-       To follow instructions given by Bartenders, Chief Bartender, Maitre D and Hotel Manager.


Education/Position Requirements:

-       High school Diploma or other relevant apprenticeship in the food service industry required.

-       Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a luxury hotel or one (1) year onboard a cruise ship in similar position.

-       Very good spoken English.

-       Advanced German skills, any additional foreign language would be a plus.

-       Good communication skills.

-       Good product and beverage knowledge.

-       Must have very good organizational skills and show attention to detail.

-       Must undergo on-board USPH and HACCP training. Previous knowledge in this area is a plus.

General Responsibilities:

-       Assist the Chief Purser in matters regarding ship clearance and hotel administration tasks.

-       Assist the Chief Purser with the crew sign on / sign off paperwork.

-       As each crew member signs on / off, ensure that he/she:

o    Is in possession of all appropriate documents. Medical Certificate, Passport, STCW certificates etc. For sign on and handed out all necessary documents before disembarkation

o    Collection of documents such as passport, Seamans book and certificates upon arrival of embarking crew.

o    Is signed on / off in both systems, Adonis and MXP

o    Report with all crew changes is being sent shore side.

-       Request, compare and book flight tickets for disembarking crew.

-       Keeping crew informed about port shore leave regulations, cash advance schedules and other relevant information.

-       Check clearance requirements for each port.

-       Organize and participate in Crew Welfare Meetings as well as organizing Crew Activities.

-       Documents upload in Adonis (Personnel Management System)

-       Submission of documents such as Seafarers Employment Agreements shore side.

-       Ensure that all lists are up-to-date and contain the correct information as required. These include crew lists, customs lists, personal details, passport, visas, summary of qualifications, etc.

-       Be familiar with the Company’s SMS.

-       To ensure that all Spa store rooms and lockers are securely locked when staff is not present and at the end of the business day - Merchandise may not be left unattended at any time in the receiving areas.

-       To train, coach, council, support and delegate all of the Spa Staff.

-       To ensure that all Spa Staff participate in responsibilities common to all shipboard staff, such as, but not limited to boat drills or other shipboard duties pertaining to the safety of guests, or responsibilities assigned by the Mystic Office.

-       To develop and monitor the Work schedules including schedules for duties in other departments (gangway duties, ship’s tours etc.) for the Spa Staff.

-       To prepare and conduct Performance Appraisals for the Spa Staff.

-       To schedule the daily opening hours for the Spa and to check the entries throughout the cruise to ensure that the times of operation is correct and ensure that all advertisements are forwarded to the Chief Purser in a timely manner.

-       Participate in gangway duties and luggage handling if requested by Supervisor.

-       To download all pre-reservations and to make the bookings on the appointment sheets.

-       To ensure that work stations, restrooms and treatment rooms are cleaned according to schedule, following the detail of USPH standards.

-       To submit work orders when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.

-       To adhere to and to ensure that the Spa Staff adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.

-       To ensure that all Spa Work Registration Forms are completed correctly and handed in to the Chief Purser in a timely manner.

Education/Position Requirements:

-       Minimum of three (3) years experience in hotel or Spa on land or two (2) years experience on board a cruise ship in similar position required.

-       Must have good administrative skills (Microsoft Office) Knowledge in MXP / POS is a plus.

-       To maintain smooth operation of the onboard Spa.

-       Must be aware of as many massage types and treatments as possible.

-       Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

-       Basic German skills required, any additional foreign language skills are a plus.

-       Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.

-       Excellent organizational skills.

General Responsibilities:

-       To perform on the piano for all musical activities, rehearsals and performances.

-       To provide musical performances which meets or exceeds the standard of excellence required by the Charterer.

-       To adhere to and to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives at all times.

-       To complete a Work Registration Form correctly every month and to submit it to the Hotel Manager in a timely manner.

-       To attend all required meetings and trainings, safety related or otherwise, in a punctual and timely manner.

Education/Position Requirements:

-       Musical education and/or experience that ensures the ability and competency to perform on his instrument in a manner that equals or exceeds Mystic Cruises high standard of excellence.

-       General knowledge of sound reinforcement basics, sound monitors and microphones etc.

-       Experience and ability in demonstrating stage presence during all musical sets.

-       Very good piano skills required, singing skills as well as any other musical instrument skills are a plus.

-       To submit order proposals for Subsistence, Bonded, Consumables, Uniforms, Linen, Entertainment supplies and equipment and all other items as requested for the Hotel Department.

-       To ensure that items requested do not exceed ships storage capacity and/or affect ships safety.

-       To oversee the cleaning procedures and maintenance of all store rooms and Provision areas.

-       To oversee the daily operation of food, beverage and consumable issuing.

-       To ensure that USPH standards are maintained at all times.

Education/Position Requirements:

-       College Degree/Diploma and/or Hotel Management School or other relevant apprenticeship in the food service industry required.

-       Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a hotel or two (2) years’ experience onboard a cruise ship in a similar position.

-       Food and Beverage product knowledge is required.

-       Previous Accounting and/or Hotel Stores experience beneficial.

-       Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

General Responsibilities:

-       To assist the Provision Master in all required tasks.

-       To ensure that items requested do not exceed ships storage capacity and/or affect ships safety.

-       To follow the cleaning procedures and maintenance of all store rooms and Provision areas.

-       To distribute items to departments as ordered or instructed by supervisor.

-       To follow USPH standards at all times.

-       To organize and participate in loadings in conjunction with the Provision Master and according to company policies and USPH standards.

-       To receive, issue and to spot-check all Hotel related items in store.

-       To conduct a full bonded inventory every month as per Policy.

-       To deal with any maintenance issues which may arise in the Provision area and to report and follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.

General Responsibilities:

 

-       To clean all Guest public areas including gym, corridors, staircases, elevators, windows, public restrooms and offices, according to schedule following the detail of USPH standards.

-       Responsible to keep all crew/guest public areas clean and vacuumed as well as all staircases, hallways, elevators.

-       Responsible for the collection and delivery of guest luggage to/from respective decks.

-       To sweep, mop, dust, clean and scrub all Guest areas on a daily basis.

-       To provide assistance to the Stewardesses during turn around day by stripping bed and pillows, removing linen, towels, chinaware, glassware, and garbage from the cabins.

-       To assist with loading of luggage as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.

-       Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty and to keep assigned area clean and tidy at all times.

-       To keep lockers organized, clean and tidy at all times and in accordance to safety rules and regulations.

-       To report work orders to the Housekeeping Manager when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.

-       To complete a Work Registration Form correctly every week and to submit it to the Housekeeping Manager in a timely manner.

-       To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.

-       To set up the buffets and assist at the cold buffet at breakfast and Busboy duties during dinner service.

-       Assist guests behind the cold buffet counter.

-       Responsible for refilling the food in the buffet.

-       Clean and cover the coffee machines.

-       Prepare condiments, water jugs and bread baskets for dinner service and get the Coffee Station ready for operation.

-       Assist with coffee service during dinner.

-       Polish silver and undertake other duties as required/scheduled by the Maitre d’Hotel.

-       To do additional duties in other departments (gangway duties, storing, luggage handling etc,.) as necessary.

-       To complete a Work Registration Form correctly every day and to submit it to the Maitre d’Hotel in a timely manner.

General Responsibilities:

-       To assist in the Wash and Dry Cleaning process of all Guest and Crew uniforms, linen and towels as all table cloths and serviettes.

-       To press and fold Guest & Crew linen and towels.

-       Participate in the laundry team and maintaining daily operation, including washing, ironing of bed lines, towels, tablecloths, napkins, uniforms, and guest clothing.

-       To clean the laundry and equipment thoroughly on a daily basis and to do wash downs during regular scheduled intervals.

-       To ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty and to keep assigned area clean and tidy at all times

-       To use the correct cleaning materials and correct methods as indicated in the instruction booklets and to keep the Laundry equipment in good working order.

-       To store all cleaning equipment properly when not on duty and to keep assigned area clean and tidy at all times.

-       Provides assistance to stateroom stewardess during turn around day by stripping beds and pillows and vacuuming the rooms and corridors.

-       To supervise the operation in the Crew Mess and to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times, following the details of USPH and HACCP standards.

-       To ensure that the coffee machines in the Crew Mess are cleaned and refilled properly as per schedule and according to maintenance manuals.

-       Refill the food in Crew Mess.

-       Make sure that equipment is functional.

-       Follow instructions given by Maitre d’Hotel.

-       To perform regular inspections and to follow up accordingly to ensure proper cleaning procedures and maintenance of the Crew Mess.

-       To ensure smooth operation during meal hours for cutlery, crockery and glassware in the Crew Mess, and to ensure proper rotation of linen when applicable.

-       To do additional duties (storing, luggage handling etc.,) as necessary and as scheduled by the supervisor.

-       To deal with any Maintenance issues which may arise in the Crew Mess and to report it in and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.
